The most important thing for any good currency converter app is that it should be up-to date and should be able to provide its users authentic and updated exchange rates at every minute. Currencies lose and gain value within seconds and therefore, updated information is crucial for the users. Unfortunately, Currency Converter fails in this regard as it doesn't update the right exchange rates for any currency. The exchange rates are essentially bogus for a few currencies. This means that you would hardly get any valuable exchange rate information from the app and you shouldn't trust any currency conversions that you would get with this app.

The currency converter app has three main tabs namely Converter, Currencies and News. The Converter tab is to show you up-to currency conversion between different currencies. You can set your base currency on the left and choose the other currency on the right. There are 85+ currencies available for conversion and are shown alphabetically for easier conversion. You can also type the amount you want to convert and the app would do the calculation itself. The currencies section shows you information about the exchange rate of your base currency against other most popular currencies. You can set the base currency on your own accord and also input the currency amount. The News section is supposed to show you updates about each currency listed with the app. However, there is no information available in this section either and you will be treated to entirely empty sections for each currency. This means that the app just isn't linked with any news outlet anymore and doesn't deliver any valuable information.

The app allows you the option of adding a currency not present within the app by inputting the currency symbol in the database. It also links to a Wikipedia page that tells about currency symbols to help you out. While this is good, the app doesn't really provide any mechanism for how to input exchange rates for the currency and how they would be updated later on. So, this feature is also a bust.
